Return Policy
To start a return, you can contact us at sales@thrashgaragenz.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after placing your order to request a return.
Thrash Garage NZ will accept most returns inside of the 14 day period if they meet the following terms:
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in original brand new condition, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Returns will not be accepted if freight labels or tape is stuck directly to the boxes / bags of the parts. This creates an issue for the next customer who purchases the items, giving them a sense the item is now used,
All 'Change of mind' returns are at the discretion of Thrash Garage NZ sales team, we are not obligated to accept these returns under the consumer guarantees act.
Should we accept your return under the change of mind terms, these are subject to a re-stocking fee of up to 20%, advised at time of return. The customer will be required to cover return freight costs, original freight costs are not included in your return.
Cancellation of orders that have been placed on "Special Order" or "Pre Order" status items are not accepted for credit. While we understand that waiting on products to arrive into New Zealand can be a hassle, there may be shipping delays or manufacturing delays, this is not grounds for a refund or credit.
Returns are not accepted on any electrical components.

Damaged Or Defective Item
DO NOT SIGN FOR OR ACCEPT ANY DAMAGED PARCELS / GOODS FROM COURIER / POSTAL SERVICES - OR USE 'AUTHORITY TO LEAVE' OPTIONS.
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If the product you receive is faulty, you are eligible for a repair, replacement or refund at the discretion of Thrash Garage NZ, in line with the Consumers Guarantee Act.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods, custom products (such as special orders or personalized items) and personally picked items from our website, these will be solved on a case-by-case basis. We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids & electrical goods, including but not limited to; Head lights, Tail lights, computers, sensors, wiring harness', buttons etc. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift card
Exchanges / Incorrectly ordered products
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to purchase the correct item and return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, we will process a refund to the same payment provider you used to place the original order. (Afterpay, Visa, Mastercard, Laybuy etc.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Overlooked purchases
This section explains customers ordering products without properly reading the description of the product.
Should you make a purchase from Thrash Garage NZ and after the item is delivered realize it is not what you expected the item to be, we are not obligated to offer you a refund.
In a lot of cases we offer a cheaper alternative to certain products, these are non integral parts to the vehicles operation, you cannot expect to receive perfection, specifically relating to fiberglass components as these are hand made.
